Literacy, Numeracy & Social Emotional Learning
Building communication skills, resilience, problem solving, logical thinking, curiosity & confidence with challenges
There are key moments in every child's educational journey that, with the right focus, can make all the difference.
At A-Cord, we recognise these critical times and know how to address them through evidence-based practices.
While parents often understand their child’s strengths and challenges, sometimes additional structured academic and emotional support is necessary beyond what school provides.

Today’s village is multifaceted, involving parents, family friends, grandparents, and even online communities - working together both face-to-face and virtually.

As a parent, you're busy too!
That’s where we come in. We believe in a balanced approach to childhood and adolescence encouraging growth, resilience, and confidence while ensuring children have time to enjoy life and pursue their interests.
We offer one-one-one tutoring as well as our signature courses. These courses are powerful and effective. Personalised learning made more economical. They target key skills that are essential for your child's learning journey.

Yet when students feel motivated, engaged, and purposeful, strong mental wellbeing follows.
At A-Cord, we see hope. We work alongside schools and families, valuing the dedication already there and recognising that support works best when it is shared.
Our courses build the skills students need to thrive: confidence, motivation, resilience, and strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. Academic success and personal growth go hand in hand.
Education today is complex. Students, teachers, and families face growing academic pressure, social influences, uncertainty, and stress.

Frequently Asked Questions
How will my child get on with online learning?
Our educators are experienced in engaging children online. If it is your first course with this teacher, you will have a free 1-on-1 session to get to know each other. We encourage parents to make sure the children are set up online in case there are technical issues. This course involves younger students, so if you are around in earshot, but not in the same room, that would help build their indepedence and relationship with the teacher.
Some children can be a little apprehensive about working online, however we do have some strategies to support. Just ask us before your session if you have any questions.
Are these courses for students who may need extra help or for extension work?
Both! Our educators love working with a range of students and every student is unique in their needs. The course groups are small enough for the Teacher to be able to work with their specific requirements, or alternatively you can ask for some 1-on-1 support to really focus on what it is they require. Some families will start with a course, and then move to individual work, or vice versa and pop in to a course when the educator feels those skills are relevant at that point in time.
